We're thrilled to announce the release of Baye's first studio album, Danama.
Set for a June 21 release, Danama showcases Baye's wide range of influences in a 10-track album packed with intoxicating, and imaginitive updates of traditional Malian sounds.

Recorded at Bedford Studios in Brooklyn, Danama features Leni Stern on guitar, Tim Keiper on drumkit, Samba Guisse and Ibrahim Fall Diagne on djembe, Yacouba Sissoko on Kora, Famoro Diabate on Balafon and Shanir Blumenkranz on base. The end result is an eclectic album boasting Baye's natural ability to combine the stylistic impulses of Mali and his skillful assimilation of jazz, rock and Caribbean grooves. Baye will play select shows in New York this summer and embark on a tour this fall.
